Cette premi\u00e8re agglom\u00e9ration, on le sait, deviendra plus tard Bruxelles. On raconte que Stultus sautait en l\u2019air en se frappant les plantes des pieds pour applaudir chaque fois qu\u2019un Saintg\u00e9rygolois prof\u00e9rait une \u00e2nerie. Les mauvais coucheurs en prenaient ombrage et lui donnaient des coups de genou bien ajust\u00e9s pour qu\u2019il arr\u00eate son man\u00e8ge. Les testiculorum de Stultus n\u2019en menaient pas large, on s\u2019en doute. Un jour, les parents de l\u2019homo basis l\u2019auraient convaincu de fuir \u00e0 toutes jambes. Le pauvre n\u2019avait m\u00eame pas de cou pour les y accrocher. Il se serait exil\u00e9 \u00e0 Kontich, plus au nord, vers Anvers, o\u00f9 l\u2019on perd sa trace. Contre toute attente, les Bruxellois s\u2019aper\u00e7urent que Stultus Cunnus Pecus leur manquait. C\u2019est alors que, sur les foires, apparut semble-t-il l\u2019anc\u00eatre du soulagicon, un demi-mannequin muni de poign\u00e9es \u00e0 c\u00f4t\u00e9 duquel se tenait un bateleur hurlant toute la journ\u00e9e des couillonnades (stolidus parolae). Stultus a-t-il vraiment exist\u00e9 ? Des grimoires illustr\u00e9s l\u2019attestent, gr\u00e2ce auxquels nous avons pu reconstituer la l\u00e9gende. R\u00e9cemment des arch\u00e9ologues ont mis au jour, sur le lieu m\u00eame de Brucity, un graffiti mural indiquant le tarif pour l\u2019utilisation d\u2019un sublevacunniculus.
